Boulder County was once occupied by Native Americans who were led by Chief Niwot on the plains. Only about 30 minutes from Denver and Rocky Mountain National Park, Boulder is in a central location to both the capital city and nature. Although there is no light rail in the county, there is an abundance of public transport and major highways to aid in movement.
